An Electrician in London was left in absolute shock when he stumbled upon what appeared to be the infamous graffiti artist BANKSY completing what looked to be his latest piece in a multi-story car park in West London.
Check out the video below of the moment BANKSY was spotted working around midnight in a deserted carpark in West London.
The disguised figure didn’t seem to notice he was not alone at this point, as he casually completed a mural on a previously untouched beige wall. To anyone who would have approached they would have been in no doubt that they had stumbled the legend himself, in the act!
For those who are familiar with his work, it is in no doubt that this piece bears similar hallmarks to the BANKSY we all know and love. You only have to take a look at some of his previous works to spot the similarity in style, execution and overall message. BANKSY is known for creating artworks that echo current political injustices around the world.
His most recent notable stunt took place at the Sotheby auction house in London where a piece of BANKSY Art namely “girl with Balloon” went under the hammer and actually sold for a staggering £800,00. Almost as soon as the hammer hit the gavel some sort of mechanism was activated within the portrait frame and the canvas began to slide down and shred into pieces.
Whether or not this latest discovery is the work of the graffiti master himself or some lone imitator clearly the influence of BANKSY stretches far beyond the shadowy underworld o graffiti artists and is well entrenched within the upper echelon society of the sophisticated Art world.
